Amos Gwema has dedicated his life to protecting wildlife in Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe. He has excelled in catching and convicting poachers by developing a local network of informants, and collecting evidence which he passes on to his rangers so that deployments can be made strategically. Amos was a Tusk Trust award winner in 2020, and this short film shows the importance of the work he continues to do protecting the elephant population in Zimbabwe.
Shot in collaboration with Maia Films, this film was crafted by our Managing Director Steve Milton during lockdown in 2020, in time for an online awards ceremony.
